The Desert Training Center is sure to be a hit with military and history buffs and anyone fascinated by big old, lean-mean-fighting-tank machines!

It’s no surprise that we were once again lured to an abandoned mining area full of mine shafts, artifacts and the residual smell of history and danger.

 For years, tens of thousands of people were locked away in the desert, forced to start over and build a life out of sand and fear during World War II.

This well -kept secret of the Anza Borrego Desert State Park is worth the trip and exploration to find it.

This trip was all about dirt and rocks, since we admired and explored these mountains from the inside out!
